These vineyards, located in southern Burgundy's Mâconnais region, stretch out around Pouilly-Fuissé. The southern part is located just next to the Beaujolais, on the slopes of the famous Roche de Solutré. The nose reveals hints of smoke, followed by delicate scents of fern and acacia, moving on to aromas of ripe fruit with a hint of aniseed. The palate features pleasing roundness with citrus flavors, notes of vanilla and hazelnut, all of which are enhanced by beautiful minerality. Well balanced, structured and generous, this wine has a refreshing finish. This wine is a good match for all kinds of fish, seafood, and white meats in sauce. You can also enjoy it with full-flavored cheeses. - Winemaker's Notes
